All five are 2cm thick. Measured by hand, so treat these as within a few millimetres.
- Small pebble — about 16 × 13cm. Olives, nuts, a couple of cheeses.
- Round-cornered square — about 20 × 19cm. A wedge of cheese and its knife.
- Large pebble — about 26 × 21cm. The main board of a spread.
- Long narrow — about 30 × 12cm. Bread, crackers, cured meat laid in a line.
- Large rounded — about 30 × 20cm. Carrying several things from kitchen to table in one trip.

Material. Solid acacia, 2cm thick, cut to organic shapes rather than squared off.
Care. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. No soaking and no dishwasher — that is true of every solid wood board and it is the whole of what these ask. A wipe of food-grade mineral oil when the colour looks dry keeps the grain fed.
Grain. Acacia varies enormously piece to piece, so the five trays in your set will not match each other exactly. That is the timber, and on a laid table it is the point.

A long narrow one for bread and cured meat laid in a line. A big pebble for the centre of a spread. A small one that holds olives and nothing else. Squared-off boards all do the same thing at different scales; these are cut to shapes that suit particular jobs, which is why all five end up in use rather than the biggest one doing everything.

The shapes are cut to sit inside each other, so the whole set stacks down to roughly the footprint of the largest tray. That is the difference between a set you keep and a set that gets split up across three cupboards and never reassembled — and at 2cm of solid acacia they are substantial enough that you would not want to lose track of them.
