Every jar arrives with its own solid oak lid and its own oak scoop, and the scoop clips onto the glass loop on the side of the jar so it lives with the jar rather than in a drawer.
Buying one size: the 400ml, 600ml and 900ml are each sold on their own, and each one still comes with its lid and its scoop.

Material. Thick food-grade glass with a solid oak lid and a matching oak scoop. Oak is a natural material, so the grain and the depth of colour vary from lid to lid. Those differences are the wood, not a fault.
The glass. Wash it however you like. With the lid off, the glass body is microwave-safe.
The oak. Wipe the lid and the scoop with a damp cloth and dry them, rather than leaving them to soak. A little food-grade mineral oil now and then keeps the grain from drying out, the same routine as a wooden board.

How airtight is it, really?

Will it keep my coffee fresh?
What stales coffee is air, light and damp. A sealed jar on a shaded shelf handles the first and the third, and it does far more for a bag than a fold and a clip does. Buy beans you will get through in a few weeks and store them whole.
Can it go in the microwave?
The glass body is microwave-safe with the lid removed. The oak lid and the scoop stay out of the microwave, as wood always should.
How do I clean it?
