It lives in the middle of the dining table now. No cord to route under a runner, which is the whole reason I bought it.
The dimming is smooth rather than clicky. I can land on exactly the level I want instead of picking the least-wrong preset.
Bought the black for the bar. At the low end it does what a tealight does, and I am not lighting forty of them at five o'clock.
The matte finish was the surprise. No hard shine off it, so it reads as part of the table rather than a gadget on it.
Orange, and I would do it again. Off during the day it is still something to look at, which the white one is not.
