Every kitchen has ten centimetres of dead air under a shelf or wall cabinet doing nothing. This hangs mugs, utensils, tea towels and cloths in it, which takes them off a worktop that is already full. It is the cheapest storage in a kitchen because you are not adding any — you are using what was already there.

Measure your shelf. 3cm is the limit.
The gap between the arms and the frame is 3cm, so the shelf board it hangs from has to be that thick or thinner, and it needs an accessible front-to-back edge to slide onto. An open shelf or the underside of a wall cabinet is ideal. A solid worktop or a boxed-in shelf will not take it, and thirty seconds with a tape measure now saves a return.
