The Blossom Table Lamp by Urban Jiko is more than a light—it’s an atmosphere. Whether you’re winding down in the evening or adding a decorative glow to your home, this rose tree lamp brings beauty, calm, and personality to any space.

Size and where it fits

One size. The maker gives it as 380 × 120 × 450 mm, or roughly 15 × 4.7 × 17.7 inches.

  • 450 mm tall (17.7 in) — about the height of a wine bottle and a half. It sits under a wall-mounted shelf and clears the average bedside table lamp.
  • 380 mm across (15 in) — the spread of the branches once they are opened out. Bend them inward and it takes up considerably less.
  • 120 mm deep (4.7 in) — the tree is arranged front-to-back rather than in the round, which is why it sits happily against a wall.

The round base is the only fixed part; everything above it is wire, so the footprint is largely up to you. Shopify has the shipping weight at 350 g.

We have not published a cable length, because the manufacturer has not given us one. If that matters for where you want to put it, ask us before you order and we will measure one.

Materials and care

Blossoms. Soft moulded foam petals — the same material as good artificial roses, not glass and not clear acrylic. That is deliberate: foam is what turns a hard point of LED light into a soft even glow, and it is why the tree looks like flowers rather than like bulbs.

Branches. Wire under a black wrapped finish. The wire is what lets you bend a branch and have it stay where you put it.

Base. Moulded plastic, matte black, weighted enough to hold the tree upright. Power comes in through a single small socket on the rim.

Cleaning. Unplug it, then take the dust off the petals with a dry make-up brush or a puff of air — foam roses hold dust the way real petals do. Keep water away from the blossoms and the base; this is an indoor decorative lamp and nothing in the manufacturer's specification covers damp or outdoor use.

Storing. Straighten the branches upward before it goes back in a box, so the tree packs narrow rather than wide.

Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko
The blossoms

Foam petals, not glass. That is the whole trick.

Look closely at any of these photographs and the roses are soft moulded foam, the same stuff good artificial flowers are made from. A glass or acrylic flower would throw a hard bright point at you from every branch. Foam does the opposite: the LED sits inside the bud and the petals carry the light outward, so what you see is a lit flower rather than a lamp wearing a costume. It also means the tree looks like itself with the power off — the colour is in the petal, not in the bulb.

  • Soft foam petals diffuse the light
  • Colour lives in the petal, not the LED
  • Wire branches under a black wrap
How it works

A lamp built like a plant, not like a light fitting.

Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko
The light

Not one lamp. Two dozen small ones.

There is no shade and no single bulb. Every blossom on the tree has its own LED tucked inside it, which is why the glow arrives from twenty-odd points at once instead of from one bright spot. On a bedside table it does the job a candle does — enough light to move around by, not enough to read a paperback under. Judge it as decoration that happens to be lit, and it earns its place.

  • An LED inside each blossom
  • Ambient glow, not task light
  • Reads warm against a wall
Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko
The branches

Bend it once, and it stays bent.

Each branch is wire under a wrapped black finish, so it holds whatever shape you give it. Fan the whole thing out and it fills 380mm of shelf; fold the branches in toward the trunk and it tucks into a corner of a desk. Two of these side by side can be made to look like different plants, which is the argument for buying a second one in another colour.

  • Bends and holds its position
  • Footprint is yours to set
  • Sits flat against a wall
Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko
The power

It plugs in. No battery, no charging.

Power arrives through a small socket on the rim of the base and the lamp runs at 5V — USB, as the manufacturer specifies it. That is a genuine advantage over the rechargeable sort: nothing to run flat halfway through an evening, and it will sit lit on a windowsill for as long as you want it to. Worth knowing before you order: the box holds the lamp and nothing else, so it goes into a USB plug, a laptop or a power bank you already own.

  • 5V USB, per the maker's spec
  • No battery, so nothing to recharge
  • Lamp only in the box — no plug supplied
The colours

Nine trees, one shape.

The colour is in the petal rather than in the LED, so each tree looks like itself with the lamp switched off as well as on. Same size, same price, whichever you choose.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Pink Roses

Rose pink petals, warm and even when lit. The one most people picture when they picture this lamp.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    White Rose

Plain white petals. The most neutral of the nine and the one that disappears into a pale room.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    White Pink Rose

White and pink blossoms mixed across the same tree, so it shifts as you walk past it.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Red Rose

Deep red petals that go amber-warm once the LEDs are behind them. The strongest colour in the set.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Yellow Rose

Butter yellow. Closest of the nine to the colour of ordinary lamplight, so it sits easily beside other lamps.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Purple Rose

Violet petals with a cool-toned glow. Reads as colour rather than as lighting, which is the point of it.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Blue Rose

Cool blue petals. The quietest of the coloured trees against a grey or white wall.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Green Rose

Soft mint green. The only one in the set that reads as foliage before it reads as flowers.

  • Blossom Table Lamp - Urban Jiko

    Four Colored Rose

Blue, yellow, white and pink blossoms on one tree — four coloured petals, not a colour-changing bulb.

Questions

Frequently asked about this lamp

Is it bright enough to read by?

No, and it is not built to be. The light comes from a small LED inside each blossom, which adds up to the sort of glow a group of candles gives — lovely on a bedside table or a shelf, and best paired with a proper reading lamp if that is the corner you read in.

Does a plug come in the box?

The box holds the lamp itself. It runs on 5V USB, which the manufacturer specifies, so it goes into whatever you already have — a phone charger, a laptop, a power bank, a USB socket in the wall. Nothing exotic is needed.

Is it rechargeable, or does it stay plugged in?

It stays plugged in. There is no battery in it and no charging step: power comes through a small socket on the rim of the base, and the lamp is lit for as long as it is connected. If you want a light that lifts off the table and moves around the house, a cordless one is the better tool for that job.

How do I switch it on and off?

The manufacturer has not documented a switch, and the photographs show a single small socket on the base rather than a button. In practice most people run it from a switched wall socket, a USB plug or a smart plug, which also gives you a timer if you want one. Ask us before you order if that is a deciding factor and we will check a unit for you.

What are the flowers actually made of?

Soft moulded foam petals, of the kind used for good artificial roses — not glass and not clear acrylic. Foam is what turns each LED into a soft lit flower rather than a hard point of light, and it is why the colour still reads with the lamp off. The branches are wire under a black wrapped finish and the base is moulded plastic.

Can the LEDs be replaced?

They are built into the blossoms rather than screwed into sockets, so there is nothing to change and nothing to buy again. The maker rates the LEDs at up to 50,000 hours, which is their figure rather than one we have measured — at four hours an evening it is a number you are unlikely to reach.

Does the Four Colored Rose change colour?

It is four colours at once rather than four in sequence: blue, yellow, white and pink blossoms arranged across the same tree. There is no remote and no colour-changing mode in the specification. If you want a single steady shade, pick one of the eight solid colours.

Can it go outside, on a porch or a balcony?

Keep it indoors. The manufacturer lists it for indoor ambient lighting and gives no weather or moisture rating at all, so we will not claim one. For a covered porch there are solar and outdoor-rated lights in the lighting range built for exactly that.

What if I'm not satisfied?

Thirty days to change your mind, no hassle. If it is not right we will put it right.

Reviews

Real customers. Real rooms.

Bought it as a nightlight for my daughter's room and it does exactly that job — soft enough to sleep next to, pretty enough that she shows it to everyone.

Nadia F.Verified buyer

I spent ten minutes bending the branches and it looks completely different from the photographs now. That was more fun than I expected.

Callum R.Verified buyer

The petals are soft, not hard plastic, which is why the light comes out as a glow instead of little spotlights. That is the thing that sold me.

Priya M.Bristol, UK

Runs off the USB socket behind my desk, so it comes on with everything else in the morning. No batteries, no thinking about it.

Owen T.Verified buyer

Went for the white one because I wanted it to be quiet in a very pale room. It still looks like a plant when it is switched off.

Ingrid S.Malmö, SE

My partner has the pink and I have the yellow on the other side of the bed. Bent them differently so they are not a matching pair.

Ruth A.Verified buyer

It is a decoration first and a lamp second, which is exactly what the page said, so no surprises. Sits on the hall table and I love walking past it.

Marcus L.Wellington, NZ

Smaller than I imagined from some of the photos — about the height of a tall bottle. Perfect for the bedside table, so I was pleased.

Aisha K.Verified buyer

Gave the four-colour one as a housewarming present and it was the thing they put on the shelf that evening.
